Question about Ralph in this movie

I'm a huge Ralph Fiennes fan, but unlike alot of rabid Ralph Fans, I dont take him too serious, and I was pleased to see him be in a light romantic comedy (come on, you smart people, sometimes everybody just wants to cry at a cheesy happy ending!!!!). Even though this movie was not fantastic, its cute, and ralph cute is something we dont see all that often!

that said, i'm extremly curious about how he got involved with this movie. i have googled it a million different ways, but i can't find any interviews where he talks about it. anyone here know??

thanks :)

In casting the male lead, Wang remembered Ralph Fiennes’s “very dry wit” as a Golden Globes presenter. The British actor has played Americans before, but he’s never starred in a comedy, rarely even cracked a smile onscreen. Fiennes says his character was “a bit of a cipher” in the script he first read, but Wang overcame his hesitations. “I felt Wayne would bring an undercurrent of realism to it, so it’s not badda bing, badda boom.”

here you can find three great interview !!
one of Ralph with Jennifer :

it might also be the fact that he didn't really enjoy acting in this movie. I think I read somewhere that he didn't go to the premiere for this movie either lol.

^ of course he did (i don't for the US premiere) but he was at the Uk premiere with jlo

I like Ralph a great deal, too. However, while I don't take him too serious either (in the sense that, I guess, you have in mind in this context), I felt sorry seeing him in such a really loose movie as this one is. I mean, romantic comedy would be just fine, but definitely a higher class. Besides, Lopez and him had no chemistry at all. Just an opinion here.

I don't know...Ralph just seemed very uncomfortable doing light comedy, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. I will admit that he looked absolutely delicious.
