Jennifer Lopez is a good actress, but how can anyone be good in movies like "The Wedding Planner" or "Gigli"? The reason she was good in Selena was because the script was not written as a vehicle for her, but it was a real story and not just an excuse for screen exposure.

I personally think that Jennifer Lopez is a good actress when given the right roles. I agree, Selena was a good role because it was about a real person, not something someone made up and thought it was a good idea to make a movie. It had real passion, problems,real stuff, and was a perfect role. Other roles like in Gigli or Out of sight just suck! They just aren't the right roles for her. She just needs to find the right roles, then she'll shine!
shareOut of Sight sucked? It's the best I've seen her in. She is a good actress, not very versatile but she knows how to bring emotion to the role. I agree with the rest of you guys, she needs to pick better roles and better movies.
