The fly in Dr. Block

WHY would they want to amputate the leg when the bug is clearly under the skin? Just a swipe of a scalpel and pull it out! And if it's under the skin, how are they managing to pull it through the rectum?

reply

First question: because the bug seems to be able to move trough skin and flesh and it is better to stop it before it moves to, say, the heart or the brain.

Second question: because the bug can seems to be able to move trough the skin and flesh, and the bug decided to move out, and that is somehow funnier like that than exiting trough ... the knee?

The true answer is because it's a comedy about aliens and there had to be an anal probing of some sort.

True. But there could be the risk of an alien infection.

An infection is something slow to act, I think that the urgency was more about jamming an artery, or rupturing an organ, or anything which could bring death quite fast.
