A friend of mine had a relative that went to HS with Maris and said that in addition to football, Maris was also a track star and may still hold some state records in Track and Field to this day.

That's pretty cool. When I saw the thread title I assumed it was just a school record which wouldn't surprise me in the least. But, a national HS football record? Well played Maris, impressive indeed.
