How do we pronounce the title?
I usually say "Sixty-One Astrisk", but my cousins usually just say "Sixty-One".
How about everyone else?

It's just Sixty One.
The asterisk is implied if you know the story. There's another example out there, but I can't think of it right now.

I usually say "61, the baseball movie"
daveramsey.com "Best thing to ever happen to us" Are you weird too?
According to Victor Borge, you pronounce the asterisk with a "Blpppt!" sound, so the movie should be called "Sixty One Blpppt".

A dope trailer is no place for a kitty.
This is an old post but I thought it was funny that I've always assumed everyone pronounced it like I did: "Sixty-one with an asterisk". It was a line in the movie, when the reporters were debating it around a table.
shareThere's no asterisk and never was. Nor should there have been. Maris is still the real record holder for any player who played by both the letter and spirit of the rules.
