which over the rainbor?

Could someone please tell me where I can get a copy of the recording of Over the Rainbow which appears in Me and My Shadows? It sounds like a live recording but doesnt match what I have got on disk. Thanks

It sounded like the version on the "Best of the London Sessions." You could try that as well.

The version you're looking for is the one she recorded in 1955 for Capitol Records.

I'm amazed they didn't use the ACTUAL Palace recording which is so incredibly powerful. It makes her Carnegie verison look shallow.

I imagine there were issues with Mr. Luft, who I assume at that time still owned the rights to the Palace recordings.
