So what was on Elle's resume?

When she handed her pink scented resume to Callahan, I couldn't help but wonder what was on it. I would assume she has never had any kind of job. At that point wouldn't it have just been her undergraduate degree and sorority activities?

What's on other college student's resumes? They still all seem to have them.

She may have had some summer jobs. While her pre-LSAT character didn't seem eager for daunting labor, perhaps her father was well enough connected to land her a nifty-looking internship or two.

Undergraduate degree; grades; honors and stuff like that.
Sorority.
Didn't she mention some other extracurricular stuff? I don't remember. Anyway, she may have organized a designer-leftovers-for-the-homeless event or something.
High school activities.

She was in a Ricky Martin video, designed a line of faux fur panties for a sorority charity project, and (according to her mother) won the Miss Hawaiian Tropics contest. Extracurricular activities like those would definitely turn a few heads.

Judged a tighty whitey contest.

Many times, employers are looking to see what you've done in your past that shows what kind of person you are and if you'd be able to handle the job and not always if you have the exact matching skills/experience. If you also happen to have the skills/experience, then that's even more of a thumbs up. They may not always want you to know too much though because they think you might expect more money or not be as flexible with how they want you to do things.

I'm guessing it was college stuff and extracurricular stuff she did, like her sorority.

She was a fashion merchandising major, which presumably has some very hands-on projects. A course like that tends to have work placement where she would get the relevant experience - plus references from the people she worked with. Then there's recommendations from her professors, confirmation that she was president of her sorority and pretty much anything else she did in college.

If you have no work experience you usually put a lot of other things to compensate for it like more info about your extracurricular activities, more references, any internship you might have done, etc. I took a workshop about resume building at my college this year and one thing they said was that if you know you will have no actual work experience when you graduate you need to make sure you have some extracurriculars and internships to build your resume up. Plus it wasn't just Elle but I don't think Warrener or Vivianne had a lot of work experience either.
