A Turkey?

Just why do so many professional literary & television reviewers appear to hate this film & make really disparaging comments about it?
I have read about "a hilariously bad movie that has to be seen to be believed" & "turkeys don't come much plumper than this" but why does everyone in "the industry" seem to hate this film?
I mean it is an entertaining enough picture (if you suspend your belief which to be fair can be said about the majority of films anyway) with a decent enough storyline & starring good actors too.
Has anyone actually read or heard anything POSITIVE said about this movie in the Press?

Because it deserves it...it is pretty bad. But if you like then thats all that matters right?

Well, I didn't think it was the worst movie, I kinda enjoyed it actually. But it could use definate work. Or just keep Heather topless and not say anything :D

"You're drunk!"
"You're sexy!"

I bought it for very little money, and thought, well, for this money, being a Nicci French story, I can always risk it. And I think it was actually quite good, although I did have a feeling about the killer right away. But it was enjoyable, Joseph was very sexy, I only knew him from nicer, sweeter parts, so this was a welcome change. I really liked it, had I seen it before I would probably even have been prepared to pay more for it than I did now.

I wanted to see this film because I really enjoyed the book, I mean its one of the best I've read. Then I watched the film... Crap, crap, crap. They completely botched it, they ruined the book. Completely different story, in the book Alice is not a bimbo, she's a smart woman, Adam is dark mysterious and he is described as extremely sexy really buffed and very strong, (Joseph fiennes is sexy but different type) and in the book there's no sister that even comes into the equation. It's quite sad
