didn't last long,did it?

It sucks that they dont show cardcaptors anymore in the u.s.!! i use to watch it when i was younger on kids wb and they showed it for a couple of years, then they took it off! even though the japanese version was better i'd still like to see what happend in the second season when sakura battles the new rival

reply

I agree. They should have at least continued it somehow, instead of opening up new characters and then dropping it. They could have aired it at a different times of the day or whatever.

i saw a DVD set in borders today

I need more parts...

the very last episode i saw was when sakura got the card, the hope card. Was that the end? oh yea, and i never saw the movie, wus that any good? what wus it about?

in australia they started showing the secoudn season..although i think they only showed very few episodes, i cant bare watching it knowing the horrble dubbing truth...but my 'guess' is that the plot got to confusing and they couldn't cut it scnenes out to make a finally i mean seriously they took out the bit where Sakura jumps across a ledge to lee saying that she loves him.. and insead she just jumps O_O

reply

i know, i really liked this show whe i was younger!!
does anyone know where you can get the episodes, books, whatever? i would really like to watch/read them, because i only got to see a few episodes....

reply

Australia was actually one of the only countries to get all of the second series in English. they played on Cartoon Network over here a while back (since Australian doesn't have a WB channel), mind you, it didn't make a lot of sense by the end since Nelvana decided to cut out any references to the Li/Sakura relationship.

uk managed the first series and a little of the second a few years ago..and they just started showing again....mebey they'll get a little ferther (they're on itv2 7:45am)

reply

it would of probably aired all episodes if it would of been shown
the right way instead of being butchered endlessly
and episodes being cut and things being taken out
because they think we can not handle it
and the crazy christian groups who saw this series
as evil and demonic are to blame as well
and the fcc well I'll just throw them in for the
censoring they like to have

reply

I never saw it at all. I'm obssesed with a show I've never seen...

Well, like I said, I THINK so i'm not sure. It could have been, or it could of just seemed like it to me since I don't know much about the series itself.

You know, pickels and turkey would make a really good sandwitch.

It was popular in the UK and we saw all the episodes till the end! Sakura makes the Hope Card out her tears for Li leaving. It was basically done so they wouldn't have to do the whole airport scene that really happened.

Besides, in Japan only 70 episodes and two movies wre made because that is where the managa ended, with Syaoran Li leaving. Only difference in the Japanese version is that they confess they've fallen in love with each other.

It was only called the Hope card in the English dubbed version, but in the Japanese version, it was nameless...and in the dubbed version, they combined the first and second season into one, and the third season of the Japanese version became the second...so they did have the whole Eriol conflict in the dubbed version (though a lot was cut out), and it did end with Li/Syaoran leaving for Hong Kong...though the Japanese version had a lot more resolution than the English version :(

no it did not last long. I watched all of the kids wb episodes and most of the cartoon network epiosdes then I just watche teh entire seris (most of it subtitled on you tube, many changes) but I would absolutly love to see it be played in the US. again. I jsut love the english introduction.

I watched almost all of it when I was about 10 besides the episodes I missed when I had to go play sports etc. Im considering buying all of the english DVDs off Amazon though it appears the second dubbed season never made it to DVD.
