She lost her voice becuase crap kept happening to her. think about it.
she felt sorry for blank being petrified in the evil forest.
she was almost excuted by the queen
she watched her 'mother' attack Linblum
she also watched her die after bahamut attacked her fleet.
she became queen for only a day and kuja summoned bahamut to attack alexadria
so alot of crap was happening to her.
when exactly did Zidane get hurt? she was only sixteen and had to go through a horrible ordeal like escaping from the city, being captured by the plant in the forest and then being attacked by all the monsters along the way. in addition to all the reasons listed above she had to deal with a lot. the other characters were used to the world like that but Garnet was a pampered princess growing up in a life of luxury. she knew about what was out there from books but she had to do a lot of growing up in a short space of time. Alexandria being destroyed was probably the last straw for her
