Mann: New Version of "ALI" coming to BluRay

I hope this is coming soon...

Michael Mann Talks BLACKHAT, His New Edit of ALI, the LAST OF THE MOHICANS Director’s Cut, Changing His Films After Release, AGINCOURT, and More
by Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub
January 16, 2015

MANN: (...) I did a re-edit of Ali for television that I really liked and I’d like to put out a Blu-ray of that edit. That was a significant re-edit.

Is it a lot longer?

MANN: It happens to move better and it’s longer.

Do you remember what the running time is versus the original?

MANN: I don’t, but it’s a little bit longer. It’s more complete and moves better. Much more dramatic

beautiful news. hope he can do it!

Ali is a superb film. it's not a complete biopic, but those are mostly useless endeavours anyway. it takes a key period in Ali & America's existence and shows us how the two interlinked. it's brilliant.
