Which Lem do U like - Darrin or Mekhi?

Mekhi starred as Lem in Soul Food the movie
Darrin starred as Lem in Soul Food the TV show

Characterwise, I prefer Mekhi as Lem there is something about Darrin as Lem that annoys me.

I think it's almost a tie. I think Mekhi portrayed the streetwise thug better; Darrin was excellent, too.

To be honest the movie is only approximately 2 hours, so u dont REALLY see the side of Lem(Mekhi) showing love and emotions for his wife, u see mostly his street ways, the show has many many episodes so U see Lem(Darrin)showing his thug side and much of his loving side with his wife. And on the show he plays a thug trying to change his street ways. Thats why I think its easy to say Mekhi played the thug better(just my opinion)

Anyone AGREE??????

I prefer Darrin. I loved him as Lem.

ronandboys323 i agree there is something about Darrin dance grooves playing lem that's really really annoying unlike you i know one of the reasons he annoys me i just hate the way he says j i swear it really irks me.

I can't really say who played the part better because they both were good but I prefer Darrin for the simple fact that he's hotter in my opinion. Mekhi is cute sometimes but it's just something about Lem(and every other main male cast on the show) that gets me tempted.

I liked both but I think Mekhi did a better job at playing Lem.

I am not where I need to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be.

Mekhi was more believable as a thug, but Darrin is SEXIER!! And a great actor. And the body...whoa. Anyway, I think it's so interesting that Mekhi was married/had a baby with Melinda (who played TV Bird with Darrin). I wonder if Mekhi and Darrin had a side of awkward at that lunch...

I really prefer Mekhi but I am glad that it was Darrin.. Mekhi makes me sick but he is a great actor..
