Damon

This guy was a total creep! Damon was a horrible match for Teri. She was such a good person, she deserved better. He charmed her, told her that she needed to make up her mind, got her to let her guard down then promptly cheated on her and moved that heffa into his apartment! Christine committed suicide and she took him in to the point where he acted like Teri's house was his house. He got the family into a car accident, dropped little Mandel on his head, got that little boy hit in the head with a baseball, gave her the most hideous engagement ring, proposed to her in a bathroom stall, became a drunk and left Teri with no explanation for months. Why did she marry him? She had much more chemistry with Brian and that guy from Amistad.

reply

A lot of your reasons for disliking him is completely stupid it's ridiculous. I can only find a few up there reasonable.

- He charmed her

How evil of him!

- told her that she needed to make up her mind

Damn, it just keeps getting worst!

- got her to let her guard down then promptly cheated on her and moved that heffa into his apartment!

She was seducing him most of the time and making him feel guilty. It's not as if he walked out on the streets and picked her up.

- Christine committed suicide

That's HER fault, not his. He was wrong for kicking her out his apartment but anyone would know that's just a guy reacting to the heat of the moment, she should've gave him a day or two to cool off, not slit her wrist.

- she took him in to the point where he acted like Teri's house was his house.

Not only is this complete BS, but you're forgetting... he did LIVE there too, why shouldn't he act like it's his house as well?

- He got the family into a car accident

Reread what you wrote. He got them into a car ACCIDENT.

- dropped little Mandel on his head

First off, LITTLE Mandel was 5 years old. I wasn't aware people couldn't make mistakes. You forgot to mention Damon was more of a father to Mandel than his own abusive mother and all the other family members that took him in. You also forgot to mention Damon adopted him at the end of the series. God, you're right, he's so evil!

- got that little boy hit in the head with a baseball

Are you kidding me?! That LITTLE boy was a teenager who lied to KENNY to go out in the field and play baseball. Not only did Damon have no contribution to the boy getting hit, he quit his job afterwards because of that. Putting his morals before his money. Evil creeps don't do that.

- gave her the most hideous engagement ring

Not only was it not half as hideous as everyone made it seem, but that was his history. And I recall Teri requested the "hideous" ring when she found out he bought her a different ring.

- proposed to her in a bathroom stall

I wasn't aware that it was wrong not to propse at a fancy dinner just to get a few claps from people who you don't know. Please grow up.

- became a drunk

Not by choice. Once again, this is something called an accident or mistake. At this point I'm positive you never heard those words before.

- left Teri with no explanation for months

That's a completely two-sided argument that I'm not even gonna bother getting into because I'm sure you aren't going to read all that I typed anyway.

I do wish she would've had more time with Brian and explored that relationship a bit more, but I just hate how quick you were to find every reason in the book to hate Damon. Please, try that with someone who never watched the show.

Firetears... you took my post wayyy too personally. You acted like I was attacking you. I hope you get this riled up about issues that are actually important. Damon was an ass.... point blank. Terri deserved better. I'd hate to see the relationships you get yourself into. Low standards?? That's a shame... get a life.

reply

I won't lie and say I didn't correct you with a couple of cutthroat statements but I hate it when people say someone took something personally just because include a few curse words in their post. I was simply correcting you. And Damon wasn't perfect, but Terri wasn't a angel either. They both deserved each other.

Like I said before, I do wish she would've went with Brian for more than one episode and I can COMPLETELY understand that Damon wasn't your cup of tea when it came to character personalities, but can you read what you said and say(with a straight face) that you didn't use EVERY excuse against him(some that were COMPLETELY out-of-place) just to make your point.

reply

TiffanyKK--I must disagree with you on the points of Damon being a "creep" because of accidentally dropping Mandel (they were playing and he loved that little boy), the car accident (was just that-an accident), and the boy being hit in the head with the baseball. None of these issues were intentionally done by Damon, so it's unfair that you use these as excuses not to like him or call him a creep. Now, the alcoholism is different. I've heard it can be a choice or a disease (I'm not one nor do I personally know anyone who is, so I can't speak on that). The Kristine issue, I wholeheartedly agree with you on(him cheating with her, not her killing herself-that was a decision she made). Proposing in the bathroom stall, well...it's different, but I don't find a reason to call him a creep. I also didn't see where he acted like Teri's house was his. After the suicide, Teri asked him to move in temporarily and actually didn't want him to leave. Then, they became a couple again, so he did actually live there (thereby, making it his house too).

I, too, wished Teri would have continued a relationship with Brian. However, it was very good writing that kept us interested.

Honestly, this is Tiffany's opinion. I don't agree with it, but I have never seen someone straight go slam the fnck off on a total stranger in cyberspace. The sad part is, I agreed with EVERYthing FireTears said. However, it was completely unnecessary to attack someone over fiction. At the very least, allow it to be fact.

Tiffany KEEP your opinions and continue to speak your mind. Some of us are listening, even if we don't agree.

FireTears, calm down. It's gon' be, OKAY. I'd hate to see how you react in your own relationships if you show your @$$ on fake ones.

reply

Tiffany I actually agree, after a while I thought Damon & terri had run their course, if they were being true to the characters.

Damon was such a loser. Couldn't stand him. I was so disgusted when Teri married him, which was so unbelievable that I nearly puked.

I disagree 1) when was he ever a "creep"? and well yeah duh!!! nobody is perfect. when you love someone and you see them doing good with there life, you mean to tell me you would just walk away from that? you have to be put in that situation to fully understand.
