All in all, a good show, not a great one. But the finale...

... and its crescendo had me bawling in tears like a baby.
On the other hand, some of the fillers going on through it paid out less than I expected, and some storylines didn't catch my interest that much (some examples are the Claire-school counselor relationship, and some of the Chenowith dilly-dally, which got old and repetitive over the time).
Nonetheless, top-notch directing and acting. The writing, from time to time, not so much. Still a very solid work of TV art.

To me, it was overall, a GREAT show.
Probably my favorite all time. There has never been another show like it.

I agree with you that the show had its highs and lows. I will add that I didn't find the ending as moving as some fans of the show.

A solid show, but I wouldn't call it a great one.

I have to add I didn't care much for most of SFU cartoonish dream-like sequences. And it's not like "they're not my overall taste": I'm very much into "Twin Peaks", as well David Lynch himself's and Takashi Miike's cinema, just to mention a couple names.

I'd call it great, not my fave of all time or anything, but better than good. The Finale definitely moved it up a few points as well. Very powerful and well done.

The finale was, to quote the words of Jeremy Jahns, AWESOMETACULAR!!!

It was a decent show. I guess the moral of the show was everyone dies and you should try to be happy while you are here. Even if most of the characters seemed to not live their lives that way. I really could not stand Ruth. She was a nut job. I've known too many people like Nate as well. On the surface trying to appear to be a great guy, but underneath it all, a real piece of shit who left everyone he came in contact with worse for wear. I would have strapped Claire to the gurney myself and embalmed her while she was still alive. Real piece of entitlement mentality crap.
