the good the bad...all that other stuff

I went through some of the boards and came across changes people did not like.
For the flow of the movie, all the changes actually worked well. Just like Jurassic Park had its changes from the book, but still the movie flowed well. Could it have been done more like the book...Yes it could have, but the decision was made not to as was for the Princess Diaries slong with pretty much any movie based on a book.

Things i disliked, (but they added to the movie and i'm glad they were in the movie)

+Lilly-just bugged me that her best friend kept giving her crap time and time again.

+Helen-most worthless mother. Dead Dad with almost no interaction had more of an impact than the mom.

Things i liked

+Joe - He IMO is the reason I loved this movie, his demeanor was perfect for this movie. His relationship with Clarisse was just right, as was his with Mia. His character just rocked

+Clarisse - I know many have said Julie just didn't portray Clarisse as she was in the books, but for this movie she was great.

+Mia - Not because it was Anne, but because Mia was a great character who didn't change overnight like we see so much in movies today. Its getting old when characters change overnight because the movie takes place in a day or two. This one took place over a few weeks, maybe over a month and her change was allowed to actually manifest over time and she was able to go through highs and lows as she becomes the Princess.

+All the funny moments that made me laugh
