I seen the movie Tootsie last nite and I noticed afterwards the Juwanna Man and Toostie are the same movie. The only difference is that its a basketball player instead of an actor. Nobody wanted to hire Dustin Hoffman's character so he dressed up as a woman and he got a job,Jamal couldn't get on no basketball team so he dressed up as a woman and so on, and so forth. Anyway Tootsie was better to me.

Please do not compare these kind of movies to Tootsie....maybe the idea of the man/woman but Tootsi is a real piece of art.. you can have comin Man/woman movies like "To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar" ( W.snipes; Swayze and leguizamo ..hilarious ) or Mrs Doubtfire ( robbin williams..good ) but please do not compare tootsie with she's the man or juwanna man....

You may have enjoyed Tootsie more, as did I, but the previous poster is correct in that they are basically the same movie... or rather Juwanna Mann is a cheap knockoff of Tootsie. Interesting to note, though... in Tootsie, Dustin Hoffman's agent is played by Sydney Pollack. In Juwanna Mann, (I forget his name) the main character's agent is played by Kevin Pollack. It might be a giant coincidence, but I'm guessing that they did it on purpose.

It's not "similar to" it's the exact same plot. Not like one of those vague George Lucas ripoffs, it is the exact same plot.

I'm surprised it's not credited as a remake.
My 15 year old son saw "Toostie" tonight and didn't like it but before he gave up on it, he said, "This movie is basically 'Juwanna Moon.'" I corected him and said, "No, Juwanna moon is basically THIS movie." The big difference is "Toostie" had better acting, direction, writing... It ws a superior product all the way around.
