Good movie, but I can't put my finger on why they titled it 'In the Bedroom' other than asking the audience to focus on scenes that occurred while in the bedroom (adultery, trauma, packing for a trip, chewing on... what have I done and what do I do now, etc.). Anyone have any insight on the title?

Matt says to Jason:
The trap has nylon nets called 'heads'-2 side heads on each side so the lobster can crawl in. The 'bedroom' head holds the bait and keeps it from escaping. You know the old saying 'two's company, three's a crowd'? (Jason nods) Well, it's like that. You get more than two of them in the bedroom and, chances are, something like this is going to happen. (the lobster is missing a claw)
I think the title also refers to Frank, Natalie and Richard as well as Matt, Ruth and Richard.
Mr. Jones: Don't nobody go into the bathroom for about 35-45 minutes.

In ordinary circumstances, Ruth and Matt are good honest people who would never dream of conspiring to commit murder, but the failings of the legal system force them to take the law into their own hands. In this way, The Fowlers, the Strouts, the police, the lawyers, and the judge are all complicit parties “in the bedroom.”
