Well ok, did you try typing in the Shaft. You only got movies about the Character Shaft, not this movie. The title of the film is still called The Shaft, but it has an a.k.a title so that people can find it easier. On Sci-Fi it's still called the Shaft
Heeyy, I too saw this movie this past Saturday night on Sat night on SciFi. It is in the tvguide as "The Shaft". I had a hard time finding it here on imdb too. I dont
But Y the hell is this movie on here as "Down"? Who changed the title? Why? & if they felt they had 2 change the title,y not change it to "Elevator" or "Next Stop Hell"? Down is a terrible title!
The tv guide says "The Shaft". That title is better (Tho I thought I as gonna be watching the Roundtree/Jackson movie ). If they felt they had 2 rename it y not call it "Elevator" or "Elevator From Hell" or "The Lift"? | IndiaArie,TESTIMONY VOL 1:LIFE&RELATIONSHIP Re: Since when is this movies title Down? Hey, guys. I'm know I'm really late in answering but just to let people know. Dick Maas, the guy who wrote and directed this film, made the film as "Down" and that is the film's title. "The Shaft" was what the dumb home video distributor called it. It's obvious they retitled it to cash in on the success of the "The Ring" complete with Naomi Watts screaming on a telephone on the cover! Omigod, these jag-offs are so shameless nowadays.
