What happened to Lauren and Louisa?

I watch Boston Public in Australia and they show re runs of it late at night. The last episode which was on was the one where Harvey finds out he has black kids and stuff.

Then it was on again except it was the beggining of Season 3 and I noticed that Louisa and Lauren had left and they were talking about Harry being stabbed and Lauren having a gun to her head or something. So can anyone plz fill me in on what happened there.

Loisa's character was written off because she was a pointless character. . .same thing happened to Joey McCantyr's character. The actress who played Lauren went on to star in another show. Smart move b/c they cancelled the show two season's after her.. her other show is still going on I think
