How would you have ended the show?

Since the show never got a proper series finale, how would you have ended the show? what do you think should have happened to the various characters?

this is the way i would have ended the show is like this here is the way i would have ended it for all of the characters involved. all of these plotlines would have ran throughout the final episode. The episode would take place during the final week of the school year

Steven Harper/Marilyn Sudor - Beginning of the Episode Harper would have proposed to Marilyn, as the show ends Marilyn tells Steven that since they are getting married she is transferring to another school so not to influence his decisions.

Guber - Scott would move in with Violet, and finally get his Principle position at another school in the district.

Marla - would decide to officially adopt Rainy instead of just being her foster mother

Harvey Lipschultz- would announce his retirement so that he can get to know his son and grandchildren more and spend time with them.

Ronnie Cooke - would be given Guber's position as the vice principle

Danny Hanson - Danny and Claire would work out their problem near the begginning of the episode, at the end of the episode claire would find out she is pregnant.

Carmen Torres/Charlie Bixby/Henry Preston would all play minor roles asserting that were going to continue on teaching.

Near the end of the episode Harper would receive and unexpected visit from Harry Senate telling him that he was ready to return to Winslow as a teacher.

the episode's finals moments would show all the facualty gathered together celebrating the end to another school year.

I would have liked that. Especially the return of Harry.

reply

Too many alternatives to take. They did fine.

i would have disliked it just because i would love the show to be continued forever without an end , that was my fantasy , to be real that was a nice end i would love to see at the end!

I would have liked to have seen some sort of tragedy. I think that some major epidemic or scare would have ended the series with a bang and make the show go out loud.

It would have been sweet to have seen one of the students come in with a gang of friends and take everyone in the school hostage and place bombs at all of the exits waving guns around screaming threats. And then later we find out that one of the teachers, Mr. Harry Senate is the ring leader of the entire operation making outlandish demands to the federal government. It would've been awesome to see terrorist/hostage negotiators battling it out with the rogue teacher and his team of badass students trying to conquer the school. To end it all the government negotiator finds out that there is no safe way out of the dilemma and that the only option is to bomb Winslow High School erasing the whole problem completely. The bomb wipes out the high school and almost everything around it in the surrounding area. In the next days news there would be national TV news reports coverage declaring the bombing a national tragedy and suggesting a day of mourning for everyone nationwide. That day would go on to be a school holiday and day of rememberance all over the country and would not be forgotten.

Now that is how you end a drama series. What do you think?

What do you think of my scenario?

I took it past a simple "Columbine" situation. I was just hoping that you would like my outcome.
Do you have a scenario for a Boston Public ending?

reply

I like all the scenarios here, but I would also have Lisa Grier come back as a certified, accredited teacher, picking up where she left off in Season 1. (Or at least a substitute teacher)

reply

Even better, have Milton Buttle come back as the new superintendent, just itching for an excuse to fire Harper, Guber or Lipschultz.
