Isn't it illegal for students to stay after school until 11pm?
I'm just asking a question here. Does anybody know the answer? I asked it because it seemed to happen a lot on this show.

Most schools have activities, and so if say you are at sports practice until 5pm or 6pm.. but another activity...say a school play is being performed, then the same kid might actually be split. But these are extra curricular activies... so there is no legal issue involved. To actually have mandatory staying more than the typical school day --everyday then yes. I would imagine laws would come into effect

I get that. But there's definitely something about staying until 11 on a school night. share
