PG-13?

Why? Why?!? This is Rollerball! One of the things Rollerball demands is to be rated R! This is no kids movie. Do you think a 13 year old would get what the original Rollerball was all about?

Rollerball should be violent and bloody, not like this...

There's a rated R version on DVD.

I'm 13 and I understood the original.

Yes.

Dude its WIPED.

The DVD version is rated R, and guess what?

It STILL sucks.

Come to think of it... The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is just like Rollerball all over again... though the new TCM is Citizen Kane compared to this crap.

I loved the original RB. they always need to skrew up a masterpiece. I wonder what will happen to the death race 2000 (if they intend to make a remake)

the reason is pg 13 is because mgm knew this would bomb so with a pg-13 rating they could get extra money which didnt really make a difference

reply

I believe the reason for the R rating on the DVD is the extra scene where Rebecca Romajin is topless. And that's about the only real perk to this movie, too.

reply

PG-13 doesn't mean it's a kids movie.

"PG-13 doesn't mean it's a kids movie."

Actually, IMO, PG-13 usually means that a potentially good movie is now going to suck. So many times you see a preview for a sci-fi or horror flick that looks really good, but then it ends up being PG-13, which means they cut out the good parts so they can fill their pockets with all the money that teenagers get from mom and dad. They count on this because the movie is usually so crappy that mom and dad wouldn't waste their time or money on it themselves.
That sounds like a kids movie to me.

This sucked no matter waht it was rated end of story

reply

yeah, horrorfreak is right.

If it was rated R, who that was old enough to, would go see it?
