Oh my... these two sounds are just too much. Funnier than pretty much every INTENTIONAL joke ever told, really. The first time I heard them (combined with the pathetic 'night vision' scene) I was laughing so hard I almost fainted.

(For anybody who has not seen this film, YES, those two sounds were in a "serious" scene).

My goodness!! I thought the exact same thing when I watched this movie. It sounds like something out of a looney tunes cartoon. I don't know what they were thinking. I guess it was supposed to be barbed wire snapping but it's just so out of character for the scene. Another hilarious part of the scene is how they come after them with the airplane.

I finally broke down and watched the film today. I was semi-dozing during the night vision scene but sat straight up when I heard the first boing. I couldn't believe it when I heard it again.

Wow. That may be the funniest unintentional comedy moment of any movie I've ever seen...

Unbelievable wasn't it? I have no idea how they though that sound was acceptable... I've heard sounds in Tom & Jerry with more realism than this...

I just dropped by this thread on a whim and I'm laughing just remembering that sequence and the awesome sound effects... :)

Seriously, I agree... I think I've had as many laughs over the Rollerball remake as any 'intentional' comedy.

Oh hell yes thats funny! Its a pity the rest of the film wasn't so entertaining :)

At last i can say i got something from this movie....... a good laugh
