why did the girls have a # tatooed on thier face?

it was their number on the team. like peyton manning is 18, so he would have 18 tattoo'd on his face.

I thought so initially but the players did not have numbers. Jonathan remarked that they had tattoed Aurora's face. She had a 92 on. It seemed like the girls earlier in the movie were prostitutes.

I took it as it was meant to be degrading to the woman, or at the very least to the main chick

The player's would get bonuses if they got the number tatooed on their faces (if you notice, some of the men had them too). In her case, after she was caught trying to help Jonathon, she had no choice and they just did it.
