This is a question that bugged me a lot. Exactly why did Akai kill Sawa's parents?

shareNot really. He killed Sawa's parents so he could start manipulating her...basically make him the only one she could rely on. And from there he turned her into a killer. That was the chief reason he did it.

sharei defintely don't care aswell. Its a good film with alot of hot hentai scenes mixed with cool gun scenes. Too bad that boy gets wasted by that sluty assassin girl (kids are innocent my ass)

the poster asks a silly question, he killed her parents cause

3. MAIN reason, admired her from afar (probably jacked off spying on her) probably couldn't take it any longer, thought sawa was hot so he decided to steal her for himself. Teaching her to assassinate was just to turn his sex-toy into a investment (i.e another KID to deal with his clients killing requests cause his too *beep* lazy himself)
nice sex scenes, and the bad guy gets it, if only the boy assassin pulled through, the film would finish on a happy note.
It's not entirely silly. It didn't make the movie any worse, it was just a little bothering.
And I happen to like the fact that Oburi got shot. If it just ended on the usual happy-everyone's-alive-and-everything's-gonna-be-fine note, that wouldn't be exciting.
