Anita Burkhart played "Speaking Woman on Subway". Perhaps Freida Olive Burkhart was a relative of hers who died while the movie was being made?

Anita Burkhart is married to Neal Slavin (the film's director) so the dedication was in honor of the director's mother-in-law, who'd passed away.
