Why would donnies teacher lose his job if he keeps talking about time travel and the other stuff?

It is deeply implied that he doesn't believe in God, so had he answered to Donnie that the timestream projections were not 'God's path' he might have been expelled fron school for being a nonbeliever in a deeply religious community.

He knows that Donnie has various degrees of issues. Donnie is starting to obsess over the time travel stuff and the teacher is probably worried about enabling him and causing that. He could probably get sued if Donnie's parents got worried and blamed him teaching Donnie all this stuff thats not on the curriculum and is making him sound crazy.
