Movie was cut short by the extensive scientific explanations

I think the movie explored a number of interesting topics such as mental illness, fear and the hypocrisy of suburban communities.

But all the extensive scientific explanations about the Tangent Universe and so on made availabe on (as far as I understand) the official website of the movie with the blessing of the director ruined the ambiguity of it for me.

Doing a movie that is not 100% clear in its meaning by itsself is something I do appreciate, but than you should be radical enough to leave it like it is.

What's the significance of doing an ambigious movie and then throw all the information in afterwards? Then all the information you'd need should have been in the movie itsself. Just kills me how you can downgrade your movie like that in hindsight.

This is why the theatrical cut is better than the director's cut.

I second this. The pacing is much better in the theatrical cut also.
