I dont understand why this movie wasn't better recieved, i found it to be a totally hysterical romp filled with incredibly funny comic actors (Tim Allen, Johnny Knoxville, Andy Richter, Jenene Garafallo, Stanley Tucci, Jason Lee and Patrick Warburton) enacting their craft superbly, along with some serious actors (Rene Russo, Tom Sizemore, Omar Epps and Dennis Farina) and with some some memorable smaller roles by the likes of Mike McShae and Shioban Fallon just being incredibly funny.
The pace is fast, the plot complex and the action non-stop. This movie gets funnier every time I see it. The line "Was that a goat?" continues to pop up in conversation all the time causing me to chuckle.
Over-all, I found this to be a an extremely hysterical romp. Definitely not an Oscar caliber film but a delightful 90 minutes. The final scene of Stanley Tucci, handcuffed to the brass shelf unit, tortured by the family dog, Roger, sporting Martha Stewart's face and barking "Arrugla" still causes me to laugh.
I also have to comment about the young lovely Sofía Vergara as Nina, the toe-taly gorgeous house keeper of Tucci and Russo. I've never sen this Columbian beauty before, but God I hope I do again.
In closing, let me say "kudos Dave Barry, kudos"
This movie was terrible. Awful. I can't even describe it. Do you actually expect me to believe that Omar Epps and HEAVY D are FBI agents?????
