Did this movie play in a theater?

I think the movie was a little too low-budget. Was this ever played in a movie theater, or was it just a TV movie? It feeled, judging the music and production aesthetics of an episode of Sienfeld, and the voiceovers reminded me of Arrested Development. I'd have trouble thinking it was a movie that was played in a movie theater.

This movie was in theatres, but only briefly. It was scheduled to be released right around 9-11, and was "posponed" until the next year. It didnt get much publicity at all because I think they were still stepping lightly around the terrorisim theme to it. It hit theatres and was gone in a week maybe?

Because of the Airport security jokes, Big Troubles release date was pushed back and than it didnt receive much publicity. You also cant discount the publics mood after 9-11. An airport screener letting a bomb through after being told its a garbage disposal is funny to me, but I could understand someone being alittle uncomfortable with in then.

Hey, maybe they should re-release it in the theaters.

i actually saw this movie in theaters.

I saw the movie in theaters with my sister. Only about 10 people in the theater. I paid to see it...
the whole 9/11 thing just ruined the experience.

Probably should've went straight to DVD/Video

Bridget: Wait a minute, nice boys don't kiss like that.
Mark: Oh yes they *beep* do.

A friend an I saw it during its third week of release, the theater was empty (the only way to see a movie).

i saw it the night of its premire and the theater had dificulties with the film for some reason i waited a whole hour just to watch this and i liked it but the damn screen was all zoomed in at bad angles but anyways it was good and as usual dennis farina was awesome.

I waited for this movie to come to our theatre but it never did, so I had to wait a couple months for it to come to dvd. In which case I guess I was kindof happy it didn't stay in theatres too long so I could see it sooner. Still one of my favorite movies.

I loved this movie. I saw the previews and did not think much of it. Than I saw it on DVD maybe a year ago. Oh my god, I never laughed so much. Especially the airport thing. I think that was the best pre/post 9/11 movie. Whole movie was funny in my opion, airport jokes kind of gave it a special punch. I am not an American, so in a way maybe its easier for me to laugh at your security or lack of security :). It is a good movie, I always recomend to other people.

It's too bad this flick came out at the wrong time. This is definantly one of my favorite movies.

______________
Do you have that one with that guy who was in that movie last year?

It didn't make it to Belgium as far as I can remember (it'd be hard to do justice to the dialogue with Dutch or French subtitles!). We first saw it on a visit to family in Miami in summer 2003 when my sister recommended it (she'd stumbled across it at her local video/DVD rental). Just a few weeks ago we bought the video here! Our local was clearing out stock (to make room for DVDs) and it cost $2.50 (about the same as a cuppa "designer" coffee!).
