Do you think Anne was a lot like her mother?

I've read Anne Frank's diary several times, and I've always wondered if the reason she disliked her mother so much at times was because they were both so much alike. I've noticed that many times, when people dislike someone, it is because they are very much like that person. Not always, of course, but often. It also seems like Margot was very much like Otto, so I can't help but wonder if Anne was took after their mother. It might also explain why she and her father were so close; she might have reminded Otto of his wife when she was younger and before she was wearied and broken by the war.

In almost every book I have read on Anne Frank, it states that Anne was Daddy's Girl BECAUSE they were so alike. Neither Anne or Otto were very religious Jews and they never went to the synagogue. Both were outgoing and friendly, whereas it is quite possible that Margot and Edith got along better due to their quieter natures and their interest in religion. I feel that Anne and Edith quarrelled because they were mother and daughter and Anne, meaning no disrespect, was probably not the easiest person to get along with at times; she was a young teenage girl and having been one myself I know they can often be quite disagreeable when it comes to their mothers. It is very common in families.
