I'm watching the movie right now on the internet and it's at the part where they're at the birthday party and this guy with a strong resemblance of Hitler walks in. Was it supposed to be him? And if so, why was he there? Shouldn't he have been off, you know, causing mass genocide?

I thought it was her uncle playing a joke. Not Hannah's dad. Because Hannah's dad didn't look a thing like him.

it was Hannah's dad, one of the girls says in the background,
"Hannah look at your dad!"

yeah..It was most deffanitly Hannah's dad. If you read the biography as well she talks about Hannahs dad coming to the door dressed as him.
