Horrible

What a horrible rendition. The acting is terrible. I have to watch it in my College prep reading class and everytime I watch it I want to vomit becuase its just so insufferable. The girl may look like Anne Frank but she is much too annoying.

I couldn't agree more.

Anne Frank's diary was one of my favourite books when I was a child (and even later), so I really do know a lot about Anne - and so I know she was far from being the perfect little angel. ;)

But this girl made her appear as an insufferable brat, with an insufferable voice.

I agree. Hannah Taylor-Gordon lacked the depth that Anne had. Her performance seemed really shallow.

I thought she was brilliant.

Hannah was the best Anne I've seen. She was alot closer to the diary (real) version of Anne than say Millie Perkins.

Don't eva let nobody tell you you ain't strong enough

I found her annoying in the first half. But once they are captured, I was impressed by her performance, as the film becomes more and more serious. This film is much better in the second half. The introductory parts (before they go into hiding) are the worst parts, while the concentration camp sequences are harrowing and disturbing. I think the actress was up to them. The best Anne Frank on film may be Ellie Kendrick (2009 version), superior to this in the hiding-out scenes, casting and acting.
