If you're watching the American DVD, it's just in one part.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Yes, in America on DVD its just a movie, however other countries and downloaded copies are in two or more parts.

I watched the American version on television a coouple of nights ago, but saw the full version a couple of years ago. The shortened american version is pretty dissapointing - it stops at the point where they are discovered in the attic. The full version continues and we see Anne's life (and death) in the prison camp. I am not sure what other editing took place, but it is about an hour shorter, and I just didnt feel as though I could become quite as engrossed in the shortened version. The longer version was brilliant though. I was definitely surprised when the US version stopped so abruptly!
