Tell me what you think.
Just curious... but what would you say if someone told you the holocaust is a fake?
(I believe the holocaust happened. But what would you say to a person that told you it was fake?)

they're an idiot. it's not a case of 'believing' it happened. It did. the end
Say it again, it keeps me awake
I love you
I agree with you 100% Lozcat2!
shareI'd just be like, "And what proof do you have of it not happening? Please, do enlighten me." and when they fall on their face from lack of proof, I would just walk away.
Anyone who says that it didn't happen has something wrong with them. The Holocaust happened. It's hard to believe that something so horrible happened, but it did.
Pirate for life<<3
First, I would probably laugh hysterically at their small mind.
Then I would probably ramble on about how we have a body count and that the pictures speak for themselves.
first, I agree with Maddie-Lyn. second, I have a few answers:
A. laugh and then say, "Oh, you're serious?"
B. tell them, "If the Holocaust was a phoney-balagna (sorry, can't spell it!), then how do you explain diaries and pictures? Sure, they can fake the pictures, but the not the diaries. Do you know how hard that would be?"
C. tell them that there are billions of websites dedicated to Anne Frank (A HOLOCAUST VICTIM) and the Holocaust
D. Ask them about the Washington, D.C. musuem
E. A butt-load of movies and TV shows (some are actually educational, you know!)
F. When you type in Anne Frank on YouTube, it says at the top: 1 - 20 of about 778, Holocaust on YouTube: 1 - 20 of about 11,300, Anne Frank on Google Search: Results 1 - 10 of about 34,400,000 for Anne Frank, and Holocaust on Google Search: Results 1 - 10 of about 23,100,000 for Holocaust
G. Tell them all about what happened. Who knows, maybe you'll conzince them.
H. "I'm done talking to you."
Ask them how come I have no more German family in germany on my mums side anymore because they were German jews. As apposed to my fathers side where as they where Christen and I have relitives still there??? and ask them if they knew what happen to my mums side of her german family.
shareoohoohooh!!! good one 15 minutes of fame!! good one!!
I would be speechless. I couldnt respond.
Ask them this: "How do you explain that at the end of the war 6 million Jews were gone, do you think they decided to go on a long vacation?"
I would tell them to read a book called Denying History, because that is exactly what they are doing. I'd tell them to take a look at pictures of Hitler looking over gas chamber blueprints with his SS officers. I would tell them to read documents sent back and forth from Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill talking about the camps, I would tell them to look at the picture of Eisenhower visitng a camp in Western Europe, I would tell them to listen to the testemonies of Russian, British and American troops who liberated the camps, I would tell them to listen to the testimonies of the Nazi's themselves who admitted many things, I would tell them to look at the aerial photos taken by the allies of the camps, I would tell them to stop making stuff up and finally that they are not historians or scholars so their credibility is slim if none at all and they are trying to use a pebble's worth of evidence which supports their claims and they are trying to bring down a mountain of evidence that disproves their claim, then I'd walk away.
shareI disagree that people who believe the holocaust didn't happen are "hyper-religious" (whatever that means?) Many of the people who hid Jews were devout Christians (if you've read or seen the movie The Hiding Place, it is about a Dutch Christian family who not only hid many Jews, but were sent to the camps along with those they are hiding, where all but one perished.) Those who deny the holocaust are usually racist pigs and neo-Nazi's. This is why the media was sent in - the American and British knew that the horror of it was huge; so huge that eventually people would "deny" that it happened, or was as bad as it was. Therefore cameras, some taking color footage, were brought into the camps and as much as possible was recorded in that way. The residents of nearby towns and cities were forced to walk through and tour the camps, before the bodies were even gone, so they too could witness the horror.
Unfortunately , it didn't seem to have much effect; Hitler's racist brainwashing was too deeply ingrained. When the Jews came out of the camps and were back into society, antisemitism was as strong as ever and unfortunately continues today. If you look at some of the Youtube comments, they are really sick; people who still think Hitler was right and justified......
