Annes writing style and the way she holds her pen...

Recently watching this and I noticed several times when they show Anne writing in her diary that she holds her pen between her first and second fingers, which seems a little odd to me. I usually hold a pen between my thumb and first finger and I cant remember seeing anyone else do it differently, and I was wondering if it was something that Anne herself did or if it is just the way that the actress playing her writes. I know its a strange thing to wonder about but its just one of those little details I noticed. It just seemed really strange...

I hold my pen between my first and second fingers 2.

Actually, this is how the real Anne used to hold her pen.
I found this information in a book by her best friend Jacqueline van Maarsen "My name is Anne, she said, Anne Frank".
