Actually, the movie has been out in China (Hong Kong) for at least 2 weeks now. It's an OK non-thinking action film, but it's not as good as I expected. My review hasn't posted yet, but it explains why. Anyway, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting as far as where the plot goes, but the relationship between the two stars and thier development throughout the film wasn't half bad. As far as the action sequences, they are worth at least renting this if you don't see it at the theater. I thought it was a 6 out of 10.
shareavatar and dank u 2 are just fools its not out yet because if its out, then it will say the certificate for the fim and i KNOW the certificate for it is out in usa because it will be the first country to broadcast the film in the cinemas the premier is in the manns chinese thetre and i cant wait to see it
shareI've seen the movie. Actually, it does suck.
shareIt was extrememly hard to sit through it. I can't really say anything at all good about it...fights were very few and far between, and even those were very quick. Nothing to them.
Story was weak too. Damn it...I wasted almost two more hours on a bad movie.

People claimed who have seen the movies were either watching the movie in their dreams or having a pirated copy from a black market. I'm from Hong Kong and there's absolutely no truth whatsoever about it's been released already. They probably have a problem with the Croughing Tiger Hidden Dragon star or the American Pie star.
shareSpoiler...The sneak preview of it has been out for a while. Anyway, the problem with this movie is not either of the two stars, or James King for that matter. My problem with this film is the whole Nazi mystic turn that the film takes mid-way through. The whole psychic tracking device crossed the line on a film that was already getting a little overboard. Up until then I thought that the fighting and the training sequences were good. I still say it's worth a rent for the first half. Trust me though, you will be dissipointed based what you see in the previews.
shareI dont know if the movie is out yet or not, but I wouldnt count on the release dates listed on this site. My brother is in turkey right now and none of the release dates have been accurate for Turkey in a long time.
shareWhy the heck would i lie about seeing a movie? like it really means so much to me.. believe or not up to you.
I have seen the movie on my trip to Asia too.
I have to say that this is a total disappointment.
My believe the problem lies with the inexperience director, Paul Hunter (I).
The biggest mistake of the show is using Chow to crack the jokes!
Secondary, I thought that this movie catogorize as "Action / Sci-Fi / Adventure", but where is the action???
I sincerely hope that this will not be the end of Chow's career.
Sincerely,
Timothy W.
I saw a copy of the movie from mainland China. The story was poor, the acting so-so and the action all but missing. The film had very few redeeming qualities. I wouldn't suggest that you pay to see it in theatres.
Very disappointing for something so promising.
Um, if you knew anything about this movie...then you'll know it was based on a comic. If anything blame it on Gothic Chopra for writing a comic similiar to the Matrix.
I am a bit Seann William Scott fan...so personally I am looking forward to seeing him doing something different then comedy for once
Well, Gotham (not Gothic) Chopra didn't really write the comic either. From what I've read, he had more of an editorial/consultant type role. The writing was done by Brett Lewis and R.A. Jones (with art by the fantastic Michael Avon Oeming). Nor did the comic have anything to do with the Matrix or bear any similarity to it other than the fact that there are some wild fight scenes. Gee, wild fight scenes were never done before the Matrix.
I haven't seen the movie but just judging by the trailer it doesn't look like it's going to follow the comic very closely at all. The comic was very well written and a great read... the movie looks to be... well, not as good as the comic. But I still plan on seeing it.
OK. i'll be honest. This movie looks really good. But it's going to interfere with HOLES. i know that i might sound stupid or something. No offense to the people who want to see this movie, but I'm a HHHHHUUUUGGGGGGEEEEEEEE Disney fan and i want HOLES it at least be in the top 5!!!!!
~DISNEY RULES!!!!~
I saw it yesterday, and I have to admit I like it, but I didnt go into it expecting a true kung-fu movie, just a good Action/Comedy which is all it is
