Hi

The song's lyrics 'yada yada hi dharmasya, glanir bhavati bharata...." were one of the most sacred HINDU mantras called the gita saar which is in pure sanskrit and is the message of the hindu holy book , the bhavad gita (written in 1000 bc).In case ur wondering, yada yada means whatever-whatever and yes, seinfeld got it from here.
It was wrong for them to use it for the climax of a buddist centric movie. Many times during the movie did i hear sanskrit shlokas and mantras. TIbetians dont have much music, its basically tribal stuff, i would know coz my country (india) is full of tibetian refugees and those who come to meet the dalai lama who lives here. They just end up selling chineese smuggled goods from across the himalayas and smoking shiva-shakti weed.

The voice sounded a lot like one of Hindustan's (india's) most legendary singers, Lata Mangeshkar.

If you like this stuff, i suggest yu go look for hindu devotional/classical music which is also avalible as remix tracks.
Dhakiwala is a hindu surname.
