TO ALL U NEGATIVE MOVIE CRITICS READ THIS

True you all have A**holes...

While there is are a lot of people trying to dissuade others from paying to see what they consider bad films, I believe the majority of people here come to discuss why Hollywood would waste money on poor scripts and invest in films such as Bulletproof monk and vent a little.

I don’t have particularly high standards, I can enjoy a simple action movie and I don’t automatically believe that just because something is arty or intense its superior but I can’t see the value in this film. The Kung Fu scenes were awful, the story was ok but I never really believed the world was in danger, and the ending was just cheesy.

There tends to be a general consensus about a movie and I for one am greatly influenced by how strong the feelings elicited on these message boards are. If a lot of people dislike a film and provide well-crafted arguments I will probably wait and rent it but I will still see it. With Bulletproof Monk I’d say those sentiments were correct because it was truly one of the worst movies I’ve seen this year.

Anyone who allows their opinions on a movie to be influenced by a message board is an idiot, you should always see it and judge for yourself, but I don’t believe that changing peoples minds was ever the point of these boards, it’s a place for discussion and somewhere for people say how they really feel about movies.
