This movie (Bullet proof monk) is on channel 4 on Sunday (UK). I have not seen this movie before and the rating isn't that good (on IMDB) - so is it worth watching? - the trailer for it makes it look really good. I don't know whether to watch it. Please help me!

Sean William Scott's acting is unbelievably terrible, he looked like he thought the whole thing was a joke through out the film. And what was the point of Jade? The actress was boring and bland. The female baddie was embarassing to watch and the whole nazi idea was pathetic.

I watched it because i wanted an opinion on the film. Just because i didn't like the film doesn't mean i shouldn't watch it. Plus, i wouldn't have known whether i would have liked the film or not, if i hadn't watched it.

Excellent? Can't go along with that, but not abysmal either. Had its entertaining moments but would have been improved by hiring a story-writer. The plot was thinner than most computer games - and that is wafer thin. Had a look of a film strung together by committee following some kind of formula: cliche baddies, pointless love interest, lots of fight scenes, a helicopter, underground lair and mystic powers.
I love the fights though and the comedy.
The best fight scene to me is definitely the part with Mr Funktastic at the start...

I am watching it now (isnt Sky + great!). I am really liking it. Im not a Kung-Fu fan but love the fight scences and Sean William Scott is funny as ever. Hope the endings good.

didnt see all of it because my TV broke, but i loved it. There is a good fight in the opening with some shooting and i saw up to a really intesne chase scene (the first time you see the monk dodge bullets)

I enjoyed the movie to be perfectly honest. It wasn't the best movie I've ever seen but I could name loads that are worse and I would set this above a lot of the crap in theaters today. Not that there isn't anything good in the movies, but Chow Yun-Fat did an excellent job with the lines he was given. True the plot could be described as a little cheesy but sometimes that's part of the fun of a movie. And of course, the Hot Dog analogy is unforgettable. Maybe not incredibly inspiring or philosophical, but still to me, unforgettable.
So all in all, my advice is it's worth watching so that you can form your own opinion. I give it a 7/10 rating.
