Filth
Did anyone feel uneasy about the amount of stomach-churning filth in this movie? From El Chivo's pigsty of a dwelling to the gritty surroundings everywhere you look, you almost wished for a giant power hose. Ugh!
shareCould the director have been using some visual symbolism? Even the luxury flat that Daniel gets for Valeria becomes a place of nightmare, with the ruined floor and damaged dog echoing the destruction of Valeria's body (her only asset) and the collapse of their relationship.
