Did the uncle fake his death?
I was under that impression since he could be seen without the glasses.
shareI was under that impression since he could be seen without the glasses.
shareI turned this movie on about an hour ago and found myself wondering that exact same thing. I can see pretending to be dead in order to will the house to Arthur but why show up? Especially since he probably knows that house like the back of his hand and would know where to hang out so no one would find him. Glass house or not, everyone got lost anyway...
"I shall slip unnoticed through the darkness like a dark, unnoticable slippy thing."
APPEARENTLY
shareYes, he faked his death.
"Well, yeah, they're baby-eating badasses man, what more do you need to know?"
The uncle (Cyrus) had to fake his death so that Arthur could inherit the house, but he had to be alive and in the house to become the most powerful man on Earth. He was pretending to be one of the ghosts in case he was spotted, but Arthur does a tally and realises that Cyrus must be alive.
shareI always assumed too that is the reason Kalina is so anxious to get a pair of glasses on everyone. That way if Cyrus gets spotted he's just another 'ghost'.
