Giant baby was super creepy

This movie is great (though not as great as some of Miyazaki's other films), but I find the giant baby really disturbing. The film has an Alice in Wonderland vibe and there is a pig-baby bit in there that's sort of similar, but for some reason I thought the giant baby got a bit too much screentime. And I didn't get why it got turned back into a giant baby after it had been turned into a cute little creature which, presumably (according to the twin witch) was its original form (?)

Most people find giant, obese babies clad only in aprons somewhat creepy. At least he didn't have to make poopies over the course of the film.

The faint baby wasn't creepy at all. You kinda expect it to be big sense the mom is big too.
