I was just wondering in the scene where ray has come round ashley judd's apartment and he's waiting for her, whilst reading a magazine and she's rushing everywhere around the apartment, what does take out of the box which she blows the dust off of? Does it link to why she comes out of the bathroom sweaty after?
shareIt's a diaphragm, a method of birth control. She blows dust off of it to indicate to us that it's been a long time since she's used it, and is sweaty because of the effort it took to put it in.
shareBtw, it's always a tad confusing when someone opens a box that's previously been closed reasonably well and someone blows dust off the box's contents. One might have to assume the box was left open long enough to collect dust, then closed before the contents were cleaned. Just sayin'
