I think that was the point. Becca wasn't obviously prettier than any of Eddie's other women .... it was about love. Love isn't necessarily about finding physical perfection.
That's why Jane said "That's Rebecca?"
Becca wasn't what Jane was expecting. She was slightly pretty, natural looking and into yoga. Not a hard-edged barfly or sophisticate. Becca's who Eddie fell in love with ... but after being rejected, he aimed for a different kind of woman - someone okay with casual sex and partying ..... the kind he wouldn't fall in love with.
resp, I really like your explanation of why Eddie went after different types of woman after Rebecca. It makes a lot of sense.

The thing that gets me is we just see her at yoga with no makeup and her hair in a ponytail and assume that she's not as pretty as the other girls. (Watch Not Another Teen Movie for a fantastic joke about that kind of thing.) I'll bet if she dressed up for a date she'd be just as beautiful.
That said though - I do think it was intentional at she be more plain than the other girls. Or at least not better looking than the others. She was special because of her personality, not super great looks.

On the CD I watched, there were some deleted scenes. In them, Becca was all made up and looked like a slutty/barfly/party-type girl. Totally different than she looked in the yoga studio. I wondered if she went through a major change after she left him. Who knows?
