must love the farce

For those of you who have no idea what i am talking about follow the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farce
for everyone else this is a classical farce and a very good one at that. for those of you complaining about the "fake acting" it is actually part of the movie. i am a theater major and have acted in a few farces. In order for the movie or play to work you need to exaggerate certain elements of the play. As for Mrs. Miller i appreciate her mostly because in one of the plays i was her part. you must understand the concept of the farce to like this movie

Duhhhh, us dumbkins readin dis hear bored gots to keep slopin up da drool to be a typin on hear. Tis cause we dont's understands them thar fancy words like "farce" causin we donta likes it.

Truth is, this thing fails as a comedy, fails as a farce, fails at all levels, and Penelope Miller irritates more than entertains.

Anyone want to see a GOOD farce, there are plenty, watch "A Fish Called Wanda", "Arsenic and Old Lace", "Bowfinger" or any of the miriad of GOOD farces instead of wasting your time watching this sorry excuse for entertainment.

I don't think you could assemble a worse cast and make a movie worse than this even if you set out to do so.

I'll take that challenge. I haven't seen this movie yet, so I'll have to watch it to see what I'm up against. I once wrote, directed, and acted in a short comedy that was in the style of Benny Hill skits during the end credits from his old TV show. It was so bad, it made Benny Hill look like the William Shakespear of comedy. Of course, it was my first film project, I had no help except from my wife, and I was only given 2 days to complete it. Still, it was awful. I didn't think it was funny at all, though everyone had a chuckle, when in one scene where I was suppose to turn and run into a tree, I actually hit the tree with my face and nearly knocked myself unconscious. I kept that shot in the film, since it was the most believable thing that happened.

EXACTLY! Finally - reading the comments of people who hated this movie - FINALLY a comment which makes sense.

This movie is a classical FARCE!!! Its SUPPOSED to look like bad acting, and bad accents moving in and out, of stupid situations. Thats the style of the movie.

The bad comments I've seen are akin to someone who doesnt like horses, saying that all western movies are awful because there are horses in them.

This is one of the finest farce movies I have ever seen. Its brilliant. I found myself laughing out loud for the first time in literally years of movie watching.

Hilarious. Im going to go out and buy this one!
