a masterpiece

Such a sensitive and moving film. Another totally overlooked masterpiece that caught me by surprise watching it 3 years after it was released, even after I'd heard about how good it was.

I'll finally get to see it this Friday.

I couldn't agree more. I was completely consumed by this gem of a movie, so much so that I ordered the dvd after I had caught a showing of the film on the Sundance channel. Now only if I could find some of Yang's previous films available on dvd somewhere...

I loved this movie when I first saw--and I still love it every time I watch it.

I'm also looking for other films by Yang and company.

(On a side note, I heard that the Korean DVD release for this film has far superior video quality over the US release.)

As of right now this is my favorite movie. I watched it again last night and it was just as moving.

Oh, and I got it on the street in China for about $1 American; even though this is a movie I wouldn't mind paying for.

I asked someone to suggest to me a film that trandcends the Oscar. I got this one. Once a Shawshank disciple, I have found a film that has replaced it. Thus far, I've havn't seen anything that can replace this one.
