classical piece at the end?

What is the name of the classical music piece played at the end of the movie? I know I've heard it in another film. Very moving.

This is one of the most superb movies I've seen, and I'm not one to gush. I catch it every time I can on HBO. Someone in an earlier post wondered why this hadn't been released in the theatres. I know why. It would have bombed.

No profanity. No bathroom jokes. No shoot outs, car chases or crashes. No nudity (except where they work on her at the end, trying to revive her, not realizing she was a no code). No stupid plot twists, hooks or gimmicks.

Just a literate, intelligent, thoughful film beautifully acted and wonderfully scripted.

Kudos. Bravo. Thank you for this film.

What scene are you talking about for the underscore? The music over the end credits is original, as is most of the score, and the few pre-existing pieces are not terribly well-known, but it's possible that the gentle melody of the main theme is reminding you of something else (most likely Bach's C maj. prelude from the WTC I or Beethoven's c# minor Sonata, known as "Moonlight", with its similar arpeggiated chords). I'm trying to help you, but I'm not sure where to begin.

The Piece you are refering to is "Spiegel Im Spiegel" by Tasmin Little. I've also heard this piece in a scene where I think a couple is travelling through the desert. You can hear it at:

I recommend you this cd.

I've just bought the track (8.37 mins) from the iTunes Store.
'Spiegel Im Spiegel' from the album of the same name, by Christian Schmidt & Marcus Hagemann.
Stunning.

The piece, as mentioned above, is called Spiegel im Spiegel and is composed by Arvo Pärt. It has been used in other films before. It was used in "Mother Night"

If I remember correctly, I think it was used in Gus Van Sant's "Elephant" as well.

Or, if not that, it might have been "Gerry" instead.

I think it was used in one or both of the two.

If I'm thinking of the same music.

Spiegel Im Spiegel is also in the movie Dear Frankie, when Lizzie is sitting alone on the bench all night.
