Nurses

After watching my mom suffer through two different types of cancer I must say nurses are the ones who responsible for the humanity of health care. I've never been impressed with anything, about most doctors, except their knowledge. I've been brought to my knees by the profound kindness and grace of nurses. They are the frontline. They are the providers of daily care, including the drudgery, and it's their ability to inject caring, understanding, and most importantly empathy into their work. I'm thankful for the knowledge of doctors and researchers. I am thankful for nurses... period.

Don't agree, or just not capable of anything more than a monosyllabic reply?

Amen to that. Your point is clearly illustrated in the scene where Jason, realizing Professor Bearing's heart has stopped, tries CPR to resuscitate her, calls for a code blue team to revive her, who come and begin their procedures, because that is their only mission. The nurse, Audra McDonald, is the only one that realizes they're making a mistake, that Professor Bearing is DNR. Here's a youtube clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64Q5SXWDx7w.
