I just watched this movie and really loved it, but I have one question that I couldn't find an answer to on any other threads: why did Elena feel so betrayed by Fernando, other than the fact that he stole a ring from his mother to give to her? Was that the only reason? Was she not even really upset at him, but more at her mother for tearing them apart by leaving early? I mean, if I was a naiive 15 year old girl, I would almost find it flattering that an older man would take such a risk to give me a ring. This may be a dumb question, but I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything.
